Thursday, October 22
Travelers meet at the historic Roycroft Inn in East Aurora, NY for a guided tour of the hotel and the Roycroft campus.. Developed by legendary author, lecturer and entrepreneur, Elbert Hubbard in 1897, the Roycroft campus served as the epicenter of a uniquely American form of arts and crafts design and philosophy and today is one of the best preserved and most complete complex of buildings from the “guild” era in the United States.
Friday, October 23
In the morning, depart for a tour of downtown Buffalo, including Adler and Sullivan’s Guaranty Building and H. H. Richardson's Richardson Towers. In the afternoon, enjoy an in-depth tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s stunning Prairie-style masterpiece, the Darwin Martin Complex (1903-1905).
Saturday, October 24
Join the morning VIP tour of Graycliff, the summer estate Frank Lloyd Wright designed for the Darwin Martin family. Built between 1926 and 1927 on a 70-foot cliff overlooking Lake Erie, Graycliff represents a transition from Wright’s Prairie style to his later work in concrete, such as Fallingwater.
Sunday, October 25
Enjoy a tour of the Elbert Hubbard Museum, located in the East Aurora Village Hall. A farewell brunch at the Roycroft Inn brings the weekend to a close. Transfer to the airport for a late afternoon flight.
